The priorities at the moment are :

  • Test the design before the first production run
  • Demonstrate key features of the App
What follows is more detail about where we are at in regards to these priorities.

Testing before production

It takes a long time to manufacture custom optics – about 8-10 weeks. Even for a few samples.

The last prototype is close to final. But we picked up a problem in one of the lenses (the bevel was not within specification). So we are waiting on a replacement which should be here mid July. Then we will be able to demonstrate the quality of the final optics.

Demonstrate key features of the App

The App has made some good progress. There is a video showing an earlier version. Recently we’ve been improving the performance.

The goal

  • Offer a great product on Kickstarter
  • Have backers know exactly what they will be getting
  • Get the initial production ready to go so we minimize time spent waiting
