Things are really coming together!
The optics are housed in an aluminium tube which anodized black. For this prototype we had an outer container 3D printed in white Nylon. There is a simple L shaped cap, also 3D printed, that protects the lenses. A marker was used to paint them black. The sticky pad was laser cut and bonded to the outer container with very high strength tape.
The final product will be a bit smaller. Below is the assembly sequence in B&W:
