The HiLO X Grip case increases your grip and reduces the chance of a drop. An everyday case that is super thin and compatible with the HiLO Lens. It’s not your grandmother’s phone case and deserves some explanation!

The shape of smartphones makes them easy to drop – they are smooth. The size of the iPhone also makes it even easier to drop. Phone cases protect phones when they get dropped but most cases simply make your device a slightly larger smooth object wanting to slip out of your hand.

The HiLO X Grip case clips on each corner of your iPhone. Those corners bulge which means the phone is no longer a smooth object wanting to slip out of your hand. The case material is textured so it has more grip than the glass and/or polished aluminum iPhone body.

The HiLO X Grip case is designed so you won’t drop it. But in the unlikely event that happens it provides protection from drops onto a flat surface. When dropped, the phone will nearly always impact on a corner – where the X Grip case has maximum protection.

We should all use protection but as Durex(TM) has proven, thick rubber is not going to improve your experience. Your phone is no longer a smooth object wanting to slip out of your hand. So play smarter and harder with the X Grip case, sexy protection for your smartphone !

Now you can buy the HiLO X Grip iPhone case from our shop for only $9.95

You may be wondering how the lens is holding on to the iPhone ? A magic material know as polyurethane gel has a tacky surface structure. One side of the gel pad is stuck permanently to our lens. The other side sticks temporarily to the iPhone. It does not leave any traces when you remove it. If the gel pad gets dirty then clean with soapy water and after drying it is as good as new !

The optics container is machined from a block of aluminium, then powder coated in matte black. Matte black helps reduce stray light.

iPhone camera accessory review

Dying to get your hands on the latest 360-degree imaging accessories for iPhones, Android phones, or Windows phones? Check out BubblePix’s BubbleScope. And if you’ve ever been involved in crowd funding or you want to become involved, read on because you may be among the few people who get to show off their own BubbleScopes before it hits the market.

Why ?

BubbleScope is a panoramic lens that works with iPhones, Android phones, and Windows phones. Its inventor, Tom Lawton, has devoted 10 years to perfecting the accessory, which continues to undergo refinement at this time. But don’t think you have to wait another decade just to purchase a BubbleScope. It will be released in the spring, and the forecast is it will be better than currently available panoramic lenses for smartphones.

What we love

BubbleScope lets you create 360-degree pictures and videos easily. It requires you to use a specialized app, but you won’t have to endure long processing times and you can instantly save or share BubbleScope-shot pictures and videos (both dubbed bubbles), which are actually nicer than those shot with similar accessories available today. The app also enables previewing, so whatever you want to shoot—not a swirly, hot mess—will show up on your phone’s screen.

Another great feature of BubbleScope is its “capsule design.” When attached to your phone’s camera, BubbleScope won’t force you to hold your phone in an awkward manner. You just hold your phone the way you always do—with the screen facing you so that you see exactly what you want to capture. Plus, the optics are retractable and secured in place via a locking cap, so it has ample protection from dust, dirt, and anything else that can affect the quality of your bubbles.

But perhaps the most noteworthy thing about BubbleScope is its being “future-proof”: no more wondering whether you can use it with newer phones, because even if your next iPhone, Android phone, or Windows phone has a different size or camera position, all you need to get is a brand new BubbleScope casing. The casing, not the lens, will be redesigned to suit upcoming iPhone, Android phone, and Windows phone models.

What we don’t love

But for how long would most people want to keep a BubbleScope? Future-proof sounds a bit gimmicky. To sentimental folks, BubbleScope is probably a dream come true; not everyone may share their sentiment though. Fans of image quality, for example, are likely to start looking for more powerful optics the moment they get the latest mobile phones.

The end game

BubbleScope gives similar accessories a run for their money; the extra features alone can convince investors to back BubbleScope on CrowdFunder. But BubblePix seems to be aiming higher. Their latest announcement is that they’re improving their product further to exceed expectations, but the announcement was made almost four months ago. If the late update doesn’t alarm you, however, you really should visit BubbleScope’s CrowdFunder page.

iPhone camera accessory review

Many of us wish our cell phone cameras could work as well as, if not better than, our point-and-shoot cameras: cell phones are usually what we have with us at a party, corporate gathering, or any other event. We just love documenting our lives through photos that we commonly share online with friends or family, and none of us want to share awful pictures, especially those taken at night. You can find a lot of accessories that help a bit and give maybe one or two enhancements to your phone, but sometimes maybe one or two just won’t cut it. And that’s when the iShutter comes in handy.

Why ?

iShutter is a specially designed case that makes iPhones look, feel, and function much like point-and-shoot cameras. It mimics the appearance of regular point-and-shoot cameras, and upgrades your iPhone with physical record and zoom buttons, an external battery pack, a soft-touch grip, and a Xenon flash—something that no other case in the world has, according to the iShutter website.

What we love

By having a xenon flash, iShutter practically guarantees a significant improvement in your pictures. And this is important because if there’s one problem that most people encounter when using their iPhones, it would be the camera’s performance in low-light conditions. The iPhone was never famous for its humble LED flash. Thankfully, though, the makers of iShutter—Apple software developers who are probably well aware of the iPhone flash’s weakness—gave their product a more powerful flash that would maximize the usability of the iPhone, especially for a lot of regular folks.

The record and zoom buttons are also pretty nice touches. Those who really want to get the most out of their accessories, however, will probably find the external battery pack a much nicer addition. Smart, actually. If you’re encouraging people to take a lot of pictures and videos with your accessory, you better make sure the battery isn’t going to get drained too quickly as a result. And speaking of batteries, you don’t need to take the accessory off just to recharge: iShutter leaves all ports unblocked and ready for use.

What we don’t love

Frankly it’s hard to write anything here. iShutter wasn’t successful on Kickstarter.com, and right now it still isn’t available in the market. The simplicity of iShutter and the fact that it improves the iPhone’s performance in low-light conditions are very commendable, but apparently these are not sufficient to attract enough backers.

The end game

iShutter isn’t revolutionary, but the simple solution it provides for the iPhone’s weak flash and its other features make perfect sense—especially when all of them are combined in a single accessory. It’s a shame that it is not yet in the market. If you’re interested in the accessory, let the iShuttr team know.

iPhone camera accessory review

Cameras have become so small these days, so it’s not surprising to find miniscule camera accessories being sold everywhere. In fact, many people tend to favor them because they’re so convenient to carry around, making them more likely to be used. If you have yet to see an example of what I’m talking about, check out Griffin’s Clarifi lens for the iPhone 3G/3GS camera.

Why ?

Don’t be fooled by its appearance. Clarifi looks like a simple slider case, but its main feature is the built-in lens that can be easily slid into place whenever you need to improve your iPhone camera’s focus accuracy. Its name, which is pronounced the same as clarify, perfectly sums up what it does best, i.e., improve the clarity of your pictures.

What we love

This accessory is perfect for those who don’t want to lug around a bulky item that does only one thing. With Clarifi, you get not only a case but also a lens that both do their jobs quite well: The case nicely covers the back and sides of your iPhone and keeps the screen elevated when you lay it on any flat surface. The lens, on the other hand, boosts your camera’s ability to take clear close-up shots.

iPhone 3G/3GS cameras generally must be a foot or more away from whatever you want to shoot in order for it to focus properly. However, Clarifi enables you to shoot great photos even at distances as short as four inches. Visit Clarifi’s page on Griffin’s online store to see the comparison photos.

Like the camera lens, the case easily slides into place, so putting it on or taking it off is a breeze. Its ergonomic design leaves all ports and physical buttons uncovered, too. This means you don’t have to take it off when you need to charge your iPhone or disable its sounds.

What we don’t love

Clarifi’s lens can be a problem in certain situations. Since it does not lock into place, you can’t just whip it out and expect to take great photos all the time. You must align it properly with your iPhone’s camera first if you want to avoid messing up your photos. Moreover, if you’re planning to use it to improve the quality of every single photo you take with your phone, look for another accessory to purchase. The lens blurs any shots other than close-ups.

The end game

People who still love taking photos with their iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS may like Clarifi. With it, close-ups are much clearer, which means you won’t be forced to shoot at farther distances just to avoid experiencing problems with the camera’s focus accuracy. However, you must remember that Clarifi is effective only with close-up shots, so if you don’t take a lot of those, you don’t really need this accessory.
